Supporting the supporters…

Here at the top of the South Island, we are spoilt for choice on the amount of epic trails we have around the region. In Kaiteriteri, we can boast that our gold level IMBA park draws in some of the best riders around.

Kaiteriteri MTB Park is run by a multitude of volunteers from all over the region, and we can’t speak highly enough about them and the efforts that they put in to build and maintain our trails for everyone to enjoy. So, when some of Tasman’s best riders sing our praises, and promote the park, we decided to help them out! Mountain Biking is not a well funded sport at the top level, and we know how hard it is to compete on the International stage. We are very proud to be able to support the following athletes on their journey to success:

Rae Morrison

Rae is undoubtedly one of the best Women riders in New Zealand, and we’re very lucky she calls the Tasman region home. Competing in the Enduro World Series under the Giant Factory Off-Road Team and previous success of 1st at Crankworx Air DH in Rotorua, and a 3rd at Megavalanche. Rae is a common site around Kaiteriteri MTB park, when she’s not off on another EWS adventure that is!

Cameron Jones

Cam, at the youthful age of only 18, has already got an extremely impressive CV of success. Boasting the “youngest winner of the 2-day event” at the Coast to Coast at the tender age of 16. Most recently though he has represented New Zealand at the UCI World Mountain Bike Champs in Cairns (U19 - XC). The Redbull Defiance, a 2-day Multisport event in Wanaka, is his next challenge. Teaming up with another Nelson local Multisport legend Dan Busch (Team Yealands, Godzone), a podium finish is definitely on the cards, you can follow them on live tracking under Team Kaiteriteri!
